The Tech Video was introduced to Westmount in 2007. Previously to that, Ms. Rees and the Drama department would put together a Christmas Concert with teacher air bands.

After a few years of doing cheesy air band routines, Mr. T and Mr.S came up with the idea to make a video of us doing something instead of performing in air bands.

Thus the first video in 2007 was very simple and involved very few extras. We basically videotaped our walk down to the Auditorium and then we did some sort of short skit on stage (Men in Tech). It was an instant hit and the rest is history. Eleven videos later, students anticipate and look forward to the famous tech video on the last day of school before the winter holiday.
